Judge orders receiver for hospital that had been run by NKC company

A judge appointed a receiver to run a rural Kansas hospital, one of a number operated by a North Kansas City company that have shown signs of financial trouble. A Marion County, Kan., judge found Friday that there could be “immediate and irreparable harm” to Hillsboro Community Hospital if a receiver was not appointed to oversee operations, KCUR reports.
