Hospital running normally with replacement workers during nurses strike

Indiana Regional Medical Center said Tuesday it was running normally despite a nurses strike that began Monday. The nurses union and the medical center were unable to come to an agreement last week for the expired contract, and the nurses walked out Monday. The medical center said that because of the five-day commitment it had to make to a staffing agency to get enough nurses to keep the hospital operating, it won't allow striking nurses to come back until Dec. 1.
