Precision Optics raises $2m

Precision Optics has raised $2 million in a new round of equity financing, according to a recently filed SEC posting. Precision Optics develops optical components for multiple fields, including the medtech industry. The Garner, Mass.-based company develops and manufactures optical and mechanical-optical components, sub-assemblies and systems including lenses, prisms, thin film coatings, optical assemblies, sinuscopes, arthroscopes, laparoscopes, stereo-endoscopes, beamsplitters, endocouplers, camera adapters and fiber optic assemblies, according to its website. The round was joined by five anonymous investors, with the first sale dated on October 16, according to the SEC filing.
