AMR Honor Guard to Sing National Anthem Before Broncos Game

(Denver, CO) — A trio from American Medical Response’s National Honor Guard has been selected to sing the National Anthem at the Denver Broncos regular season home opener on Sunday, September 9 at Broncos Stadium. Dozens of first responders will be honored as they unfurl the American flag on the field during the National Anthem. The trio made up of Derek Gray (paramedic, AMR Riverside CA), Cody Poole (EMT, AMR Colorado Springs, CO) and Colleen Tomsik (paramedic, AMR Colorado Springs, CO) were selected out of dozens of entries. They began singing together just a few months ago at the National EMS Memorial Service in Washington DC. The game will be aired on the Fox Network. While the National Anthem is not always broadcast, if it is shown it will be at 2:20 pm MST. “We are very excited that our employees were selected to sing at the Bronco’s game. It is certainly an honor and a privilege for them to be able to sing our country’s National Anthem especially at a game honoring first responders,” said Sandy Logan, National Honor Guard Commander.
