Teva gets FDA approval for first generic EpiPen

The Food and Drug Administration approved the first generic versions of the EpiPen and EpiPen Jr., which were developed by Teva Pharmaceuticals USA. The approval sent Teva's stock up about 7 percent to $24 per share in late afternoon trading. The approval comes as pharmacies were reporting shortages of EpiPens. The product's manufacturer, Mylan, has come under criticism by government agencies and consumers because of price hikes that have inc reased the cost of EpiPen's from less than $100 to moreā€¦
