Pressler to retire as Hawaii state health director, former director named to interim post

Virginia Pressler will retire on June 1 from her post as director of the Hawaii state Department of Health, a post she ’s held since late 2014, Gov. David Ige’s office said Thursday. Ige named Bruce Anderson, who was state health director during Gov. Ben Cayetano’s administration, as interim health director.
