Emergency admissions data briefing

Marie Curie has published a report on emergency admissions for people in their last year of life. It finds that these admissions (using NHS data) are: substantial and often avoidable In 2016, there were over 1.6 million emergency admissions for people in the last year of their life the average number of admissions per person is nearly twice as high as in Scotland or Wales
