NHTSA Now Accepting Applications for EMS/9-1-1 Specialist Position

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is seeking qualified candidates to fill an open position to support both the Office of EMS and National 911 Program. These programs have national responsibility for developing and implementing new projects, providing technical assistance and support, and coordinating activities that enhance EMS and 911 systems. Job seekers interested in serving in a hands-on role overseeing projects of national significance to improve emergency medical services and emergency communication are encouraged to apply. In this role, the candidate will: Work with the technical complexities and policy issues of EMS, 911, highway safety and trauma systems at the local, State and federal level Develop and evaluate EMS and 911 and projects with diverse agencies and partners Work with all levels of government, private industry and special interest groups on critical issues Applications will be accepted until April 16th.
