Arts nonprofit chaired by Vertex founder unveils $23M capital campaign

Celebrity Series, a Boston-based nonprofit that organizes concerts and other performing arts events, has launched an effort to raise at least $23 million. The group, whose board chairman is Vertex Pharmaceuticals founder and former CEO Joshua Boger, announced the capital campaign on Friday evening. Donors have already pledged $16 million, and Celebrity Series is aiming to complete the campaign by the end of 2019.
