Longtime UB medical school professor Peter Ayers Nickerson leaves $4.5 million bequest
Peter Ayers Nickerson spent a half-century teaching the University at Buffalo's medical school.
A major bequest shows how much he appreciated that time.
Nickerson, who died in February at age 75, left a $4.5 million gift from his estate to support several causes in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. They include:
