126 Implantable loop recorders - diagnostic yield in patients with syncope and presyncope

Syncope is the transient loss of consciousness which results in loss of consciousness and postural tone often leading to collapse and is frequently followed by a spontaneous recovery1. Implantable loop recorders (ILRs) are a reliable means of investigating these events. Current guidelines recommend implantable loop recorders for any patient with syncope that remains unexplained after a conventional work up.1
