Improving access for all: reducing inequalities in access to general practice services

This resource will help general practice providers to identify and address barriers and allow improved access to the full range of general practice services. The document uses a six-stage patient pathway which offers a framework to explore barriers that may limit access to GP services, variations in patient experience and the capacity of local GP services to respond. It also gives ideas and innovations to increase capacity and improve access for all, and a collection of useful resources including commissioning tools, policies and guidance, education and training, data and business intelligence and communications and engagement.
