Suture Express launches BlueSphere manufacturing logistics biz

Surgical product distributor Suture Express said today it is forming a 3rd-party logistics division to serve medical product manufacturers, named BlueSphere Logistics.
Newly formed BlueSphere Logistics will offer services including warehousing, distribution and transportation within what it calls its ‘Core Logistics’ offering.
Additional services, including order and pricing management, billing, collections, reporting and other services will also be provided to medical product manufacturers.
“BlueSphere Logistics is ideal for a medical product or device company seeking flexible, reliable and affordable logistic services. We provide these companies a more competitive alternative to self-distribution and much greater flexibility than other national distributors,” BlueSphere Logistics prez Mark Kenyon said in a prepared statement.
BlueSphere said it will operate out of Suture Express’ national distribution center in Lenexa, Kan.
“Our focus is exclusively on healthcare logistics. We’re connecting medical products to healthcare providers caring for patients, and we’re doing it like we always have: more economically and more reliably than our competitors,” Suture Express CEO Jay Istvan said in a press release.
