How to rehabilitate the maxillary arch?

I am considering as my primary treatment plan doing bilateral sinus lifts with bone grafts and installing 3 implants on each side or All on 4.

Conclusions: A correlation was not found between %IF and Banff code scores. Greater increases in %IF within 1 year post transplantation may influence long-term graft survival. Computer-analyzed increases in %IF at 1 year may be a surrogate marker for long-term graft function.Am J Nephrol 2017;46:187-194

Forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1) from spirometry is the most commonly used parameter to detect early allograft dysfunction after lung transplantation (LTx). There are concerns regarding its sensitivity. Nitrogen‐multiple breath washout (N2‐MBW) is sensitive at detecting early global (lung clearance index [LCI]) and acinar (Sacin) airway inhomogeneity. We investigated whether N2‐MBW indices indicate small airways pathology after LTx in children with stable spirometry. Thirty‐seven children without bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome [BOS] at a median of 1.6 (0.6‐3.0) years after LTx underwent N2‐MB...

Publication date: Available online 21 August 2017 Source:Arthroscopy Techniques Author(s): Eric J. Cotter, Brian R. Waterman, Mick P. Kelly, Kevin C. Wang, Frank M. Frank, Brian J. Cole Symptomatic patellofemoral chondral lesions are a challenging clinical entity, as these defects may result from persistent lateral patellar maltracking or repetitive microtrauma. Anteromedializing tibial tubercle osteotomy has been shown to be an effective strategy for primary and adjunctive treatment of focal or diffuse patellofemoral disease to improve the biomechanical loading environment. Similarly, osteochondral allograft transplantat...

This study aims to explore the gene expression profile of the rejection process in order to decrease the number of unnecessary endomyocardial biopsies in stable patients. MethodsA total of 300 formalin‐fixed and paraffin‐embedded (FFPE) endomyocardial biopsies sampled from 63 heart allograft recipients were included in this study. Acute cellular rejection (ACR) and antibody‐mediated rejection (AMR) were diagnosed by histological analysis and immunohistochemical C4d staining, respectively. Analysis of gene expression was performed by quantitative real‐time polymerase chain reaction. The samples were grouped accordin...

The objective of this network meta-analysis was to identify and rank different ridge preservation procedures using allograft, xenograft, or extraction only by dimensional changes in ridge width and height after tooth extraction. Electronic and hand searches of several databases were performed in September 2016 to identify randomized controlled trials on extraction and ridge preservation with 3 to 7 months of follow-up. Eight studies were included in the network meta-analysis. The total number of teeth included in these trials was 466, which were randomly assigned to treatment groups. The effect sizes of ridge width ranged ...

CONCLUSIONS: Fifty-nine patients with multilevel lumbar stenosis/OYL and other pathology underwent multilevel lumbar laminectomies/noninstrumented fusions using lamina autograft and Nanoss/BMA. Both dynamic X-ray/CT studies confirmed a 97% fusion rate an average of 4.9 months postoperatively. Nanoss/BMA contributed to a high posterolateral lumbar non instrumented fusion rate without complciations. PMID: 28808602 [PubMed]

CONCLUSIONS: Thirty-two severely myelopathic underwent 2.8-level cervical laminectomies/7.8 level fusions utilizing lamina/iliac autograft and Nanoss/BMA. Fusion was documented on both dynamic X-ray and CT studies in 31 of 32 (97%) patients an average of 4.7 months postoperatively. Nanoss/BMA appears to be a safe and effective bone graft expander that can be utilized for posterior cervical fusions. PMID: 28808601 [PubMed]
