Spaulding undertaking layoffs, cuts in cost-saving effort

Spaulding Rehabilitation Network is laying off 35 employees and may possibly cut more staff in an effort to cut more than $9 million in expenses. The reductions represent a small percentage of the 4,500-person workforce at Spaulding, and are being done at management and administrative levels, but will help the system save $4.3 million in operating costs.
