What Are My chances of Pregnancy After a Fimbriectomy Reversal?

A member of the Tubal Reversal Message Board asks what are her chances of pregnancy after reversal of both a fimbriectomy type tubal ligation on one side and a Pomeroy type tubal ligation on the other side. Dr. Monteith responds by informing her fimbriectomy can be reversed and pregnancy is possible. Fimbriectomy reversal alone provides a chance of pregnancy between 15% to 40% and Pomeroy tubal ligation reversal the chance of getting pregnant is approximately 70%. In this patient’s case the chance of pregnancy would be 70% and pregnancy should happen within 12 months of sterilization reversal but could take as long as 24 months to become pregnant naturally.
