Can Pelvic Congestion Happen After A Tubal Ligation?

A recent patient of Dr. Monteith’s began to experience painful side effects four days after her tubes were tied. She was unable to find answers with her local physicians and she traveled to Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center to be evaluated by Dr. Monteith. At the time of her reversal surgery her pelvic veins were massively dilated and she was diagnosed with Pelvic Congestion Syndrome. Although there is no link between tubal ligation and pelvic congestion this patients symptoms and the timing of her symptoms seemed to suggest the tubal ligation was the cause of her problems.
