Renee Joiner To Lead Stroke Awareness at UAMS (Movers & Shakers)

Renee Joiner has been named by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock as director of the Arkansas Stroke Awareness & Virtual Emergency Support program. Joiner replaces Michael Manley, who in December became director of clinical service integration and development for UAMS Medical Center. For the last six years, Joiner served as trauma section chief for the Arkansas Department of Health, where she worked for 28 years. Pete Biagioni has been named managing partner of the payer division of Cumberland Consulting Group of Franklin, Tennessee. He was president and CEO of Oleen Pinnacle Healthcare Consulting of Little Rock, the 50-employee company which Cumberland acquired earlier this month. Biagioni will oversee operations, business development and service delivery for Cumberland’s government agency and payer clients. Prior to the acquisition, Oleen had about 20 clients, including the Arkansas Department of Health, Arkansas Office of Health Information Technology and QualChoice, while Cumberland had about 75 clients, including Baptist Health of Little Rock. Dr. Deborah Johnson, a pathologist at White River Medical Center in Batesville, recently received a certificate for completing the Multidisciplinary Breast Pathology Advanced Practical Pathology Program.
