Diagnosing and treating low testosterone (hypogonadism) in men
In men, androgens are produced by the testes (approximately 95%) and adrenal glands (approximately 5%). The primary androgen produced is testosterone, which is present at concentrations several hundred fold higher in the testis than elsewhere in the body.
