Suspected cyberattack affects Consulting Radiologists operations

A suspected cyberattack halted parts of operations at radiology outsourcing company Consulting Radiologists in Eden Prairie, MN, this week, according to a report from Pioneer Press. Small healthcare facilities without an in-house radiologist appeared to be most affected, the outlet noted. A spokesperson for Allina Health, which is among Consulting Radiologists' 22 affiliated hospitals, told Pioneer Press that the incident was affecting a big portion of Allina's partner clinics. Another hospital reportedly had to divert stroke patients. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services maintains a list of active investigations concerning breaches of unsecured protected health information affecting 500 or more individuals.
