After aseptic loosening and infection, periprosthetic femur fractures have been identified as the leading cause of total hip arthroplasty (THA) revision with reported incidence rates ranging from 9 to 15% [3,7,20-22,33,36,38]. Early revision THA is particularly skewed towards periprosthetic fracture as the causative factor [33,36,38].
