Metals Higher as Dollar Slips

Metal prices rose as a weaker dollar helped provide support to commodities backed by the greenback. Three-month copper was up 0.1% at $8,219 a metric ton while aluminum was 0.3% higher at $2,231.50 a ton. Gold, meanwhile, was up 0.4% at $1,974.10 a troy ounce.
