Effective Epic Application Management and Epic Go-Live

While many in the industry are ready to move past the EHR, the reality for health IT leaders is that the EHR still takes up a large portion of their mindshare and has some of the biggest impact for good or bad on an organization.  Managed and implemented effectively it can be an important tool for a healthcare organization to run more efficiently and provide better care.  Managed and implemented poorly and a healthcare organization will create more of a burden on an already burnt out workforce. To learn more about how Adventist Health is working with HCTec to handle application management of their Epic EHR and a recent Epic EHR Go-Live, we sat down with Jennifer Stemmler, Chief Digital and Information Officer at Adventist Health, and Bill Lewkowski, Vice President of Strategic Client Services at HCTec.  Stemmler shares with us some of the challenges Adventist Health faced when they decided to work with HCTec for their Epic application management.  Plus, she talks about what she and her team consider the key areas of success and how they measure the success of projects like this.
