Government backs Martha's rule on right to second medical opinion if NHS hospital staff dismiss patient concerns

Steve Barclay confirmed today that ministers are 'committed' to implementing the rule, insisting the case for it is 'compelling'. NHS England will now begin work to action it, he said.
