Doctors Created a Primary Care Clinic As Their Former Hospital Struggled

Healthcare providers in rural New Mexico opened a physician owned, nonprofit clinic after their hospital closed primary care and labor and delivery units. The clinic is working toward becoming a Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike (FQHC). Care at the clinic includes focus on the cultural needs of the local Navajo and Zuni communities.
