Career Transitions: What Are Other Options to Clinical Practice That May Align with New or Evolving Priorities/Goals?

Transitions can take place at any time and for a variety of reasons. In this article, I review career transitions in the context of my own experiences and offer some advice and guidelines for making a career transition. The article also reviews what opportunities exist for career development and how that can lead to new and future prospects. Finally, achieving work–life balance can be difficult in today's health care landscape.
