High initial graft tension is a post-operative risk factor for high UTE T2* value of the graft 6 months after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction
Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury is a common sport injury. ACL reconstruction is performed to regain anterior and rotational stability, which allows a return to sports activities. However, various factors, including younger age, hyperextension of the knee, concomitant meniscal tear, chronic tears, and over-tensioning in graft fixation have been reported as risk factors for re-injury and residual instability [1 –7]. These factors must be overcome to achieve a safer return to sports activity after ACL reconstruction.
