Different additive techniques as well as materials have been employed in order to directly 3D metal print an orthodontic appliance. The potential advantages of 3D metal printed appliances include greater treatment efficiency, increased patient's comfort, reduced orthodontic appointments, reduced workflow steps, thus reducing the chances of error and resulting in a more accurate fit and better standardization.
