Pleomorphic adenoma of the parotid gland

Salivary gland tumors are rare, accounting for 6% to 8% of head and neck tumors. Detecting them in primary care is important so that adequate treatment can be provided. This case report describes a 58-year-old woman whose unilateral pulsatile tinnitus and ear fullness led to the diagnosis of a salivary gland tumor, specifically a pleomorphic adenoma of the parotid gland.
