Abstract No. 579 Therapeutic percutaneous splenule ablation in the setting of idiopathic thrombocytopenia status post splenectomy

Splenectomy is an effective treatment for patients with Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia (ITP) refractory to treatment. Undiscovered accessory spleens (AS) may occur after splenectomy, often requiring additional surgeries. Percutaneous microwave ablation (MWA) offers a minimally invasive therapeutic approach for residual/recurrent AS.
