WAMC 2nd Time Applicant
21, F, FL, Traditional, Second Application Hello! This will be my second time applying. I originally applied to Colorado, tOSU, Cornell, and UF (IS school) and was denied. I got a file review from tOSU saying to get more leadership/volunteer hours and to find a way to raise my GPA. I am currently waiting on Cornell for a file review in May. I want to expand my application range this cycle and here are the schools I am considering so far: UF, Colorado, tOSU, Cornell, Kansas State... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

High School Courses?
Hello, I am currently a student in high school preparing to enter a career in veterinary medicine. I am planning on taking a degree in animal science. I wondered what high school classes would be recommended to help boost my chances of acceptance. I have an overall average of 94% so grades aren't an issue, I just want to make sure that I take all of the recommended courses before graduation to make my transition as easy as possible. Thanks to everyone! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

"Inorganic chemistry"
Hello! I'm having trouble figuring out if the 'Inorganic Chemistry' prerequisite required by many schools (Washington, Cornell, St. George, Dublin, Edinburgh), is referring to General Chemistry (i've taken both Gen Chem I and II) or a separate upper-level chemistry course. Though I could take Inorganic Chem as an upper-level course, I'd have to take on 6 courses this Fall term and I would rather not lol. So yeah does anyone know if Gen Chem I/II is enough or do I have to take a separate... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

University of Glasgow BVMS - Looking for advice/insight
Hello everyone, I'm excited to share that I've recently received acceptance into the University of Glasgow's veterinary college. As an American student, I am reaching out to seek valuable insights from the current veterinary student community at Glasgow or those who have graduated recently. I am particularly interested in hearing about experiences with the curriculum, and how the ongoing challenges related to Covid have impacted the school environment—both positively and negatively... Zoological/Wildlife Veterinary Advice
Hello! I was wondering if any zoological/wildlife veterinary students or veterinarians would be willing to share about their career path (where they went to school and why they chose that institution, what opportunities they have taken part in both through and outside of their school, and what advice they would give to someone extremely interested in the field). Thank you SO much! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Low last 45 credit solution?
Hi, I didn't well at all during my last spring semester of undergrad, and I really don't want it to stop me from being accepted. I did well in all my pre-reqs back in sophmore and freshmen year. The schools that I am applying to look at the last 45 credits strongly. I was wondering if I should be taking a bunch of summer classses to boost my last 45 credits, even if they are not related to pre-reqs? Please give me some advice in how I can bump up my last 45 credits? Thank you so much. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Zuku vs Vetprep / navle study tools!
Hi everyone, I will be starting my rotations in may and taking the navle in november (ekkkkk). My school will pay for either zuku or vetprep for us to use to study. The last thread about this was many years ago, and I was curious if anything changed. My general understanding is either is fine. Zuku has more pictures, Vetprep more realistic test questions. Please let me know your thoughts. Also I like to have all different mediums for learning like podcasts, games (kahoot), youtube... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

What are my chances as a PharmD student?
Hello I am a 22 YO 3rd year Doctor Of pharmacy student planning on applying to vet med this cycle. I am also a first gen Asian American. Why did I do PharmD and want to do vet med after? Well I am from an Asian family and traditional asians unfortunately do not like animals and view them as kind of inferior. As a result, I was forced to do pharmacy. I extremely do not like it and want to pursue something I have always wanted to do rather than living my parents life. My all “undergrad”/vet... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)
