Construction of deep learning-based convolutional neural network model for automatic detection of fluid Hysteroscopic endometrial micropolyps in infertile women with chronic endometritis
Deep learning is one of the artificial intelligence models that are actively introduced into clinical practice to assist healthcare providers due to its well-fitting to medical image analysis [1]. One of the most advanced algorithms among the deep learning models is convolutional neural network (CNN). A CNN model comprises a circuit of artificial neurons/nodes that exceed in object recognition and has been developed to the performance of the expert level [2]. The value of the CNN models is that their outputs can provide the probability of the disease, contrary to physicians being able to give only two judgments (presence o...

Medication ‐related osteonecrosis of the jaw: Case series and literature review
We described three patients with MRONJ including their presentation, investigations, management protocols, and outcomes. A brief appraisal of the literature on MRONJ was also done.AbstractMedication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) is a rare complication of the jaws following the administration of antiresorptive or antiangiogenic drugs. This condition poses a major challenge to its management. We present an appraisal of the literature and three cases of MRONJ. An appraisal of 3 patients who presented to the oral and maxillofacial clinic with MRONJ was done. Relevant physical examination findings, radiological image...

A feeling of not being alone – Patients' with COPD experiences of a group‐based self‐management education with a digital website: A qualitative study
AbstractAimTo describe patients' with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) experiences of group-based self-management education with a digital website.DesignA qualitative approach with a phenomenologicalmethod. Patients participating in an earlier study, with self-experience of COPD as a special competence, were involved as research partners at the design of this study.MethodsEleven individual and two group interviews with five participants in each group were conducted.ResultsGroup-based self-management education with a digital website supports learning. Sharing experiences with others in similar situations creates...

Effects of Two COVID-19 Lockdowns on HbA1c Levels in Patients with Type 1 Diabetes and Associations with Digital Treatment, Health Literacy, and Diabetes Self-Management: A Multicenter, Observational Cohort Study Over 3  Years
ConclusionsLockdowns can lead to worsening glycemic control in patients with type 1 diabetes. Particularly patients with few check-ups, poor blood glucose values, deficits in diabetes self-management, low health literacy, and a low level of education seem to be at greater risk of worsening glycemic control during lockdowns and, therefore, require special medical care, e.g., through telemedicine.Trial RegistrationClinicalTrials.gov identifier, NCT04821921.
