Diagnostic value of qualitative and quantitative enhancement parameters on contrast-enhanced mammography
CONCLUSION: Diagnostic accuracy of quantitative parameters was higher than that of qualitative parameters. High CNR, rim enhancement, and descending pattern were features commonly seen in malignant lesions, while low CNR, homogeneous enhancement, and ascending pattern were commonly seen in benign lesions.PMID:38619006 | DOI:10.4274/dir.2024.232472 (Source: Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology : The Turkish Society of Radiology)

Evaluation of the Patients with the Diagnosis of Pontocerebellar Hypoplasia: A Multicenter National Study
Cerebellum. 2024 Apr 15. doi: 10.1007/s12311-024-01690-1. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTPontocerebellar hypoplasia (PCH) is a heterogeneous group of neurodegenerative disorders characterized by hypoplasia and degeneration of the cerebellum and pons. We aimed to identify the clinical, laboratory, and imaging findings of the patients with diagnosed PCH with confirmed genetic analysis. We collected available clinical data, laboratory, and imaging findings in our retrospective multicenter national study of 64 patients with PCH in Turkey. The genetic analysis included the whole-exome sequencing (WES), targeted next-generation s...

The Effect of Religious Attitude on Death Anxiety among Patients Undergoing Hemodialysis Treatment: A Sample from Turkey
AbstractThe aim of the current study was to evaluate the effect of religious attitude on death anxiety among patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment. This cross-sectional study included 77 patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment. The religious attitude scale (RAS) and the death anxiety scale (DAS) were used to collect data. The results revealed a moderately strong negative relationship between the mean RAS total score and the mean DAS total score (r = − 0.350,p <  0.05). Additionally, religious attitude accounted for 12% of the variance in death anxiety (R2 = 0.12). Accordingly, the levels of relig...
