Advice for non-traditional medical students?
Hey, guys! I have taken three years off and will be starting my first year of medical school this July (undergrad was in biochemistry). Though I am excited, I am nervous about the fact I have not been in an academic setting in a while- is there anything I can do to "prepare" before the semester starts? I have read over some material to review, but I am not sure how effective that is. Has anyone just gone in cold turkey, if you did, how difficult was it to get back your rhythm? If you did... Turkey Day: How to prepare to reapply?
Well… Because we have hit the infamous turkey day rule, I thought I might ask your opinions on how to prep to reapply. Let me preface this by saying I’ve had moderate success this cycle, but no acceptances. I have 3 II’s, but unfortunately these schools have a low post-interview acceptance rate (50%, 30%, and 20%) and withhold decisions until February, March, and February respectively. These are all private schools and top 20. I applied to 19 schools, have 6 rejections so far, and need to... Turkey Day: How to prepare to reapply? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

International Students in Turkey
Hi guys! I know there are a few posts about medical schools in Turkey. However, I wanted to ask if anyone is familiar with the Acibadem university of medicine. I would like to know if it is a good school and the student life in there. Are there many international students or is it purely turkish? Do they teach fully in english or is there any turkish?? Any information about an international student study in Turkey would be helpful. Thank you! (Source: Student Doctor Network)
