I am currently a resident who is very interested in IP. Lung cancer and transplant were my original interests before discovering this field which complements my strong interests in procedures as well. I was really sick waiting for a liver transplant when I started community college at 20.
first semester when sick- 3 fs, 1 d
second semester- 1 d, 1 c
-got my transplants, went back to school to pursue medicine at 21 and got my associates with a 2.78 gpa (72 credits including first two semesters)
last 80 credits of my biology bachelor were 3.9
Clinical experience- 2500 hours as a surgery floor tech (not a scrub)

Listing Internship on AMCAS
Hello all,
I was just wondering if listing a transplant surgery clinical internship would be acceptable as one of my clinical experiences. Essentially my role is to assist clinical teams in the determination of organ suitability, round on patients pre/post transplant, and I also get the chance to go on any donor run/transplant that fits within the bounds of my schedule. Transplant Nephrology
Hi guys, second year resident who is interested in transplant nephrology. Love in the interdisciplinary interaction with other medical teams especially surgery as well as all the medicine that is involved (nephrology, immunology, BP management, infectious disease).
