Interventions to Support the Return to Work for Individuals with Stroke: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis
ConclusionPhysiological intervention promoted the RTW of individuals with stroke. But, the effect of psychological and work-related interventions in promoting the RTW of individuals with stroke was not significant. We anticipate that these findings may inform the design of future interventions. For future research, we recommend that more high-quality randomized controlled trials be conducted to further promote the RTW of individuals with stroke.Systematic Review Registration: PROSPERO Registration Number, CRD42023443668. Intensive Care Treatment of Pulmonary Embolism: An Update Based on the Revised AWMF S2k Guideline
Hamostaseologie. 2024 Mar 18. doi: 10.1055/a-2237-7428. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTAcute pulmonary embolism (PE) remains a significant cause of morbidity and requires prompt diagnosis and management. The prognosis of affected patients depends on the clinical severity. Therefore, risk stratification is imperative for therapeutic decision-making. Patients with high-risk PE need intensive care. These include patients who have successfully survived resuscitation, with obstructive shock or persistent haemodynamic instability. Bedside diagnostics by means of sonographic procedures are of outstanding importance in this high-ri...

Evaluation of clinical efficacy of streptokinase by comparison with the thrombolytic agent on animal model
This study aimed to produce streptokinase from Streptococcus pyogenes EBL-48 and compare its efficacy with heparin in an animal model. We evaluated the clot-lysing effectiveness of streptokinase produced from Streptococcus pyogenes EBL-48, emphasizing its low cost and ease of production. Streptokinase was produced using pre-optimized fermentation media and purified through ion exchange and gel-filtration chromatography. In vivo analysis involved inducing clots in a trial animal model using ferric chloride, comparing streptokinase with heparin. Ultrasonography assessed the clot-lysing activity of streptokinase. Streptokinas...
