August is National Immunization Awareness Month, and public health professionals often need resources to educate individuals who may have limited English proficiency about the importance of receiving vaccinations for themselves and their children. Hexavalent 6-in-1 vaccine to be made available to newborn babies
All babies born on or after 1 August 2017 will be offered protection against hepatitis B as part of our universal childhood immunisation programme, Public Health England has announced. Of the 30 different microbes which can be transmitted by sexual contact, 8 have the greatest incidence of transmitting disease. Four are curable (Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis and Trichomoniasis) and 4 are incurable at present (Hepatitis B, Herpes simplex virus (HSV), Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and Human papillomavirus (HPV)).
