Running the help desk for gen chem?
I guess my teacher thought I did a phenom job last year in gen chem because she recommended me to lead our program's help desk for this year's incoming students. I did do well, I'm just surprised that she singled me out in particular.
It'll be only 2 hours per week, which I can do virtually. So, light commitment.
Anyway, I have a busy schedule this semester - I'll be newly working 3x12s as an EMT and taking organic chem I + cell bio.
I'm thinking pros are: it's good on the resume, a...

You are doing your teaching practicum and you have been assigned an elementary school to teach at. Another teacher in-training asks you to switch schools with her because it is more convenient for her and her children.
What factors should you consider before making a decision?
Is it fair that she asks this of you?
Is it more difficult for women than men to maintain a work-life balance?
Discuss Below !!

Which LORs are worth it?
I am triple majoring in biology, chemistry, and sociology. However, I have several options for letters. I will have 3 letters from various PIs. While one isn't super strong, the other two are strong, and one from my primary lab (2000+ hours) is very strong.
I also will have one group letter from several of my key science teachers who I have a strong relationship with (Ochem, anatomy, etc.).
I have worked at my university as a tutor for 2+ years and around 500 hours and my boss has...
