Brugada Syndrome
Transcript of the video: Brugada Syndrome was described by Brugada brothers in 1992 as right bundle branch block pattern in anterior leads with ST segment elevation and syncope or sudden cardiac death and it was later in 1998, that the genetic basis of the disease was identified, with mutations in sodium channel. Later on, several other mutations have been attributed to cause the ECG pattern in Brugada syndrome. I am always happy to see this ECG of Brugada syndrome sent to me by Professor Josep Brugada, in 2001, for the inaugural issue of the Indian Pacing and Electrophysiology Journal, which I started in 2001. And, this r...

November Is National American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month
Historically, American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities have been disproportionately affected by many health issues such as heart disease, cancer, substance abuse and sudden infant death syndrome. As the largest biomedical research agency in the world, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is committed to honoring the health of Native communities by conducting initiatives that aim to advance research and expand the reach of health information relevant to them. In this special NIH-wide collaborative issue of Honoring Health, you will find a sample of the health resources available from many of the NIH Institut...

The decision to not vaccinate is driven by fear and misinformation
I was browsing the internet one day and came across a photo of a group of women who appeared educated and influential. They were wearing blue T-shirts with claims that vaccines cause autoimmune diseases, seizures, ADHD or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, learning disabilities, death, autism, sudden infant death syndrome and infertility. I couldn’t help but laugh at them! I shared this photo on my Facebook page. To my surprise, one of my educated friends shared her concern about vaccinations and declared that she had withheld immunization from her own children. I decided to write this paper for young women like m...

Should you switch to A2 dairy?
No doubt: Dairy products have issues. The issues with dairy are not as bad as they are with grains. After all, the consumption of the seeds of grasses was an entirely foreign practice, introduced very late in the human experience—we have spent less than 0.4% of our time on this planet consuming seeds of grasses, despite their dominant dietary role today, thanks to the lobbying of Big Agribusiness, Big Food, and the bungling of the USDA and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Grains are physiologically inappropriate for consumption by Homo sapiens at any time, in any form. Wild, hunting, primitive humans did...

No, vaccines do not cause sudden infant death syndrome, a Vaccine Court decision notwithstanding
There was a rumbling in the antivaccine underground a week ago about a recent ruling by the Vaccine Court compensating parents of a child who died of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). In a confused and scientifically highly flawed decision, the Special Master Thomas Gowen didn’t rule that vaccines cause SIDS, but did rule that they contributed to SIDS in this one case. Soon, the message will be that vaccines cause SIDS. They don’t. The Vaccine Court screwed up. (Source: Respectful Insolence)

The FDA Must Continue To Regulate E-Cigarettes To Protect Children
Last year, after nearly a decade of inaction, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) made significant advancements in the regulation of e-cigarettes. Through its “deeming regulation,” the agency required that manufacturers provide information for the assessment of public health risks of new tobacco products, defined as products introduced to the market after February 15, 2007 (referred to as the “grandfather date”). However, on July 28, 2017, the FDA announced that the office would delay the enforcement of the deeming regulation by several years, which would prohibit the FDA from exercising its appropriate authorit...

How Do US Vaccine Rates, Policies and Children ’s Health Compare to Other Countries?
Conclusion The US has the highest vaccination rate of all industrialized countries. US children are experiencing a health epidemic with more chronic diseases than ever before in our history. The US has the highest infant mortality in a study comparing America with 29 other developed countries. Children in the US suffered with more autism than in all other countries studied. Studies comparing vaccinated and unvaccinated show conclusively that unvaccinated children enjoy far superior health. Research and data demonstrate that vaccines cause neurological damage and contribute to significant health damage. Vaccines are a major...

Room sharing with your baby may help prevent SIDS —but it means everyone gets less sleep
Follow me on Twitter @drClaire According to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the best place for a baby to sleep is in his parents’ bedroom. He should sleep in his own crib or bassinet (or in a co-sleeper safely attached to the bed), but shouldn’t be in his own room until he is at least 6 months, better 12 months. This is because studies have shown that when babies are close by, it can help reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, or SIDS. A study published in the journal Pediatrics, however, points out a downside to this: babies don’t sleep as well, and by extension, neither do their parents. Researc...

Binge drinking continues to rise — particularly among women and seniors
Women usually welcome news that the gender gap in pay or leadership positions is closing. But lately we’ve been learning that women are also gaining parity in another respect: alcohol consumption. A new study from researchers at the National Institutes of Health indicates that the rate of drinking in general, and binge drinking in particular, is rising faster among women ages 60 or older than among their male contemporaries. When the researchers analyzed data from National Health Interview Surveys from 1997 through 2014, they found that the proportion of older women drinkers increased at a rate of 1.6% a year, compared w...

Super-Duper High-Fat Wheat Belly Yogurt
We celebrate fat on the Wheat Belly lifestyle. With yogurt, it means we never eat the thin, insipid non-fat or low-fat stuff. We laugh at the anemic 2% yogurt that you can practically drink rather than eat–and they’re filled with sugar or high-fructose corn syrup, anyway. You could go for the full-fat (3-6%, though typically 4% milk fat). Or you could go for the Super-Duper High-Fat Wheat Belly Yogurt made with heavy cream that is about 33-36% fat–really fatty. Almost like melted cream cheese, thick and rich. Fat, including that in dairy, has been demonized. Ironically, it is clear that the fat is the bes...

The True Causes of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome
Conclusions Conventional medicine claims that infants sleeping on their backs is the best prevention for SIDS and has lowered the rates of SIDS. Research shows that statistical manipulation explains away any decline in SIDS, which continues to be a serious problem in the US. The US has the highest infant mortality rates compared to 34 other industrialized nations, while we also have the highest infant vaccination rates. Substantial evidence links vaccinations to being the primary cause of sudden infant death syndrome. A 7-Pound Premature Baby Died After Receiving 8 Vaccine Doses, Her Death Was Blamed On Co-Sleeping Instead Of The Toxic Vaccines
Conclusion Medical examiners are putting the blame on parents for co-sleeping, while completely ignoring the vaccines given to the child hours or days before, when investigating these infant deaths. They will also relate an infant’s death to poisoning of the body due to something the child ingested or inhaled, but not from the poisons injected through the vaccines. [29] In the state of Louisiana, health officials have been applauded for having fairly high vaccination rates, but at the same time, Louisiana has consistently been ranked one of the worst states in the nation for having high infant mortality rates, but nowher...

Aluminium Adjuvants Have Never Been Approved For Use In Vaccination
Conclusion Over the years, hexavalent vaccinations have been responsible for many deaths and disabilities worldwide, and yet they remain in use today. It is shocking to know that a leading pharmaceutical company such as GlaxoSmithKline has known of the danger of these vaccines for years, and yet they continue to portray them as safe and effective. This is just one of the many papers that have been hidden over the years. How many more scholarly papers that reveal similar adverse reactions have the pharmaceutical industries and governments hidden in their archives? To learn more about hidden documents, read At Last!
