Safety and Efficacy of Tirofiban Bridging Therapy During a Hybrid Carotid Artery Stenting and Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting Surgery: A Single-Center Study
This study evaluated the safety and efficacy of tirofiban as a bridging therapy after a hybrid CAS + CABG surgery.METHODS: Between June 2018 and February 2022, a total of 45 patients undergoing a hybrid CAS + off-pump CABG surgery were divided into either the control group (standard dual antiplatelet therapy postsurgery, n = 27) or the tirofiban group (tirofiban bridging + dual antiplatelet therapy, n = 18). Safety outcomes of anti-platelet therapy post coronary artery bypass graft surgery: A systematic review and network meta-analysis of randomized control trials
CONCLUSION: No significant difference was found between monotherapy or dual-antiplatelet therapy for the major bleeding risk safety outcome, however DAPT was found to have a significantly higher rate of minor bleeding complications post-CABG. Early and midterm outcomes after off pump coronary artery bypass surgery
ConclusionOPCAB can safely be performed with satisfactory short and mid-term outcomes. Further corroborative studies from different regions of the country or a multi-center study will help to establish the suitability of the technique in Indian patients.

Use of CHA2DS2-VASc score to predict the risk of ischemic stroke and mortality in patients who underwent coronary artery bypass grafting surgery: a retrospective cohort study
CONCLUSIONS: Ischemic stroke was associated with a higher mortality risk after CABG. Higher CHA2DS2-VASc scores were associated with higher ischemic stroke risk. POAF did not significantly affect the relationship between CHA2DS2-VASc scores and ischemic stroke.
