Strategies adopted to manage physical and psychosocial challenges after returning home among people with stroke: A qualitative study
This study was conducted to explore how stroke survivors manage their life after returning home from the hospital. This was a qualitative study with individual, semi-structured interviews. We recruited a purposive sample of adults who had a first or recurrent ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke and currently lived at home. Participants were asked about their post-stroke experiences, challenges encountered, and strategies adopted for managing post-stroke conditions. A nearly full-recovery from AVM hemorrhagic stroke 17 years after insult using a new integrated neurodevelopmental approach: A case report
This study investigated a novel approach to chronic-phase stroke rehabilitation using traditional child motor-learning techniques, play, and proprioceptive-building activities in addition to current stroke rehabilitation techniques. During an initial six-month period, followed by a three-year period, the participant used motor-developmental learning activities as well as traditional strength, gait, and balance training. Machine-learning prediction of self-care activity by grip strengths of both hands in poststroke hemiplegia
To investigate the relationships between grip strengths and self-care activities in stroke patients using a non-linear support vector machine (SVM).
