Ephrin-B2 PB-mononuclear cells reduce early post-stroke deficit in diabetic mice but not long-term memory impairment
CONCLUSIONS: Intravenous PB-MNC+ administration the day after stroke induction in diabetic mice improved sensorimotor deficit and reduced infarct volume at the short term, but was unable to prevent long-term memory loss. To what extent diabetes impacts on cell therapy efficacy will have to be specifically investigated in the future. Effects of dynamic supported standing training in a patient with pusher behavior: a case report
CONCLUSION: Dynamic supported standing training using a modified standing frame may improve pusher behavior with short-term training. Accelerating Prediction of Malignant Cerebral Edema After Ischemic Stroke with Automated Image Analysis and Explainable Neural Networks
ConclusionsAn LSTM neural network incorporating volumetric data extracted from routine CT scans identified all cases of malignant cerebral edema by 24 h after stroke, with significantly fewer false positives than a fully connected neural network, regression model, and the validated EDEMA score. This preliminary work requires prospective validation but provides proof of principle that a deep learning framework could assist in selecting patients f or surgery prior to deterioration.
