Trials of lowering blood pressure in patients with acute ischaemic stroke not undergoing thrombolysis have not demonstrated improved outcomes with intervention. Rather than absolute levels, it may be that blood pressure variability is important. Role of injection laryngoplasty in preventing post-stroke aspiration pneumonia, case series report
Conclusion: Injection laryngoplasty proved to be both successful and safe in improving glottic closure with immediate results in those who had failed to show a positive response after long-term swallowing rehabilitation. The positive and dramatic clinical outcomes were observed through changes in the coughing force. Relationship Between Sleep Apnea and Coronary Artery Calcium in Patients With Ischemic Stroke
Conclusion: Our findings indicate a relationship between coronary atherosclerotic burden measured by the CAC score and the severity of sleep apnea. Performing polysomnography could be useful for investigating the severity of hidden coronary artery disease among these patients.

This study aimed to identify lifestyle factors about eating habits that may affect the quality of life (QOL) in elderly stroke patients. Methods: Fifty elderly patients with a first-ever stroke were enrolled. QOL was assessed by the Stroke and Aphasia QOL Scale-39-J. Conclusions— After transient ischemic attack or minor stroke, calcium channel blockers and diuretics reduced variability and maximum home SBP, primarily because of effects on morning readings. Comparative effects of antihypertensive drugs on stroke outcome in China
ConclusionThis study suggests that early initiation of calcium channel blockers is associated with improved outcome after stroke. Further randomized studies are warranted to confirm these findings and to delineate differential beneficial effects of antihypertensive therapy in stroke prevention.
