IJERPH, Vol. 16, Pages 3491: The Relationship between Scabies and Stroke: A Population-Based Nationwide Study
Conclusions: The results of the study indicated an elevated risk of stroke among scabies patients, an association that might be contributed to by immunopathological factors. This information could serve as a reminder to clinicians to remain alert to any indications of neurological impairment in patients previously infected with scabies.

Increased risk of pemphigoid following scabies: a population‐based matched‐cohort study
ConclusionsThis study detected an increased risk for pemphigoid among patients suffering from scabies. Physicians treating elderly patients with a history of scabies should be alert to the development of pemphigoid.

Needs of Internally Displaced Women and Children in Baghdad, Karbala, and Kirkuk, Iraq
Conclusions The vulnerability of this population is great, and the emotional trauma of multiple displacements, kidnapping and deaths from intentional violence is great. While some aid is reaching families, much more is needed. Though Iraq is a middle income country, reaching the IDPs in central Iraq will take much more in international assistance than is currently being received.
