Microbiology and Outcomes of Institutionalized Patients With Stroke-Associated Pneumonia: An Observational Cohort Study
Conclusion: The microbiology of SAP is similar to early phase of HAP and VAP. SAP prolongs the duration of MV and length of ICU and hospital stays, but also markedly increases 60-day mortality.

A Melioidosis Patient Presenting with Brainstem Signs in the Emergency Department
Conclusions: In light of this case, patients with identifiable risk factors, especially underlying diabetes, a history of positive soil contact, and those who lived in an endemic area or ever traveled to an endemic area, and who present themselves with fever and neurologic deficit or multi-organ involvement, should have melioidosis considered in the differential diagnosis.

Neurological Melioidosis in Norway- presenting with a Cerebral Abscess
We present a case of neurological meliodosis, presenting with a cerebral abscess in a returning traveler from an endemic area. While travelling in Cambodia on holiday, the patient was admitted to local hospital for pneumonia. Her condition improved after antimicrobial treatment, and she returned to Norway when discharged. The patient had several contacts with the health care system after returning to Norway, due to recurrent fever and deterioration.
