Lessons Learned in Delivering an Intervention to Engage Family in Home-based Upper Extremity Therapy
To highlight challenges of delivering a web-based carepartner (CP) intervention designed to engage CPs in facilitating stroke survivors (SS) with home based functional task practice to improve upper extremity (UE) function. Examples of challenges are described and recommendations to improve intervention delivery to dyads in the home setting are offered.

Movement Matters, and So Does Context: Lessons Learned from Multisite Implementation of the Movement Matters Activity Program for Stroke in the COMPASS Study
The purpose of this Special Communication is to discuss the rationale and design of the Movement Matters Activity Program for Stroke (MMAP) and explore implementation successes and challenges in home health and outpatient therapy practices across the stroke belt state of North Carolina. MMAP is an interventional component of the COMprehensive Post-Acute Stroke Services (COMPASS) Study, a randomized multicenter pragmatic trial of stroke transitional care. MMAP was designed to maximize survivor health, recovery, and functional independence in the community and to promote evidence-based rehabilitative care.

The Pillars of Stroke Victor Recovery: Lessons for Caregivers to Make the Big Difference
To give survivors and their caregiver partners the elements of a concrete roadmap to successful stroke recovery maximization, particularly after reimbursed therapy is terminated. A secondary objective is to elevate the importance of the caregiver partner so that they are taken more seriously in the stroke recovery process. Having visited several overseas countries it became clear that there is a need for a realistic, compassionate and tested approach to extending the stroke recovery window in America.
