E-012 Reasons for choosing nondominant vertebral artery as an access route in hyperacute vertebrobasilar ischemic stroke
ConclusionsUndoubtedly, the fastest treatment is best through the dominant VA. Nondominant VA may be another option in situations where it is accessible, stable, or less risky despite nonvisualized VA in angiogram.Disclosures G. Lee: None. C. Yang: None. C. Kang: None. J. E-020 Flow diversion for intracranial aneurysms: intracranial hemorrhage and thromboembolic complications in a multi-center cohort of 200 patients
ConclusionComplication rates in our study are comparable to previous reports, and our findings further support the general safety and efficacy of flow diversion. Despite a relatively large population, the low number of ICH and TE complications limit statistical significance. Further study of complications in more robust samples are needed. However, the descriptive understanding of these complications can help direction future investigations.Abstract E-020 Table 1ICH and TE Stratifications ICH Non-ICH p n=7 n=193 Hypertension 7 (100%) 97 (50.3%) 0.035 Currently Smoking 3 (42.9%) 28 (14.5%) 0.319 Mean Procedural Fluoroscopi...

E-025 The rate and predictors of 30-day readmission in patients treated for cerebral aneurysms: a large single-center study
ConclusionIn our study, risk factors for 30-day readmission were increasing BMI, cancer, increasing aneurysm width, and anticoagulation use. Future studies should focus on aneurysm dimensions and the use of blood thinners as the literature pertaining these predictors is still scarce.Abstract E-025 Table 1 Variables N(%) 30-day Readmission 36 (6.6) Cause of Readmission: Infection Stroke Re-Rupture Wound Dehiscence Seizures CSF Leak Hydrocephalus Headache Wound Area Swelling Groin Hematoma Pseudo meningocele 9 (25)11 (30.6)1 (2.8)1 (2.8)1 (2.8)1 (2.8)1 (2.8)7 (19.4)2 (5.6)1 (2.8)1 (2.8) Causes and Rate of ReadmissionAbstrac...

E-027 Managing unruptured cerebral aneurysms detected during mechanical thrombectomy of acute ischemic stroke: considerations for treatment decisions
ConclusionAneurysm rupture during mechanical thrombectomy is associated with significant mortality and morbidity. Although rare, spontaneous aneurysm thrombosis is a potential mechanism of stroke and can carry an increased risk of aneurysmal rupture. Mechanisms of procedural rupture include stentriever or wire manipulation in an occult aneurysm and tractional forces in areas of aneurysm adhesion. Aspiration alone and the use of J shaped wires are technical considerations that can potentially decreased the possibility of aneurysm rupture in mechanical thrombectomy.Disclosures Y. E-029 Thrombectomy in stroke patients with low ASPECTS: is TICI 2C/3 superior to TICI 2B?
ConclusionIn patients with low ASPECTS, achieving a TICI 2C/3 score after MT is associated with a more favorable 90-day outcome. These findings suggest that TICI 2C/3 is a better target for MT than TICI 2B in patients with low ASPECTS.Abstract E-029 Figure 1Disclosures S. Samir Elawady: None. M. Mahdi Sowlat: None. I. E-030 Incidence and risk factors for new seizure after ischemic stroke in a single institution series
DiscussionThe literature on new onset seizures after stroke describes a range of incidences and risk factors, as there is variation in the studied populations. Here we report the incidence of post-stroke seizures in all patients diagnosed with ischemic stroke in a 3-year period. The most significant predictor was hemorrhagic transformation, and this was driven by IPH.Disclosures K. Carroll: None. E. Federico: None. I. Stafstrom: None. E. Skinner: None. M. Maraghe: None. M. E-033 Optimization of endovascular treatment for patients with acute carotid plaque rupture and free- floating thrombus by use of two overlapping closed-cell stents with different radial force
ConclusionUse of the Carotid Wallstent as the first stent to secure the free-floating thrombus allows save delivery of the Xact stent which then adds a second closed-cell mesh layer as well as the needed radial force to expand the stent construct. This approach may decrease if not eliminate the need for post-stent angioplasty in the acute setting thus decreasing risk of thromboembolic complication.Disclosures A. Kuhn: None. J. Singh: None. S. E-042 Classification of persistent trigeminal artery variants
We present a case series of rare variants other than Saltzman type 1 PTA which are important for the neurointerventionalist to know including PTA supply to the ipsilateral AICA (type III) and PTA supply directly to pons perforators (not described within the known classification systems). These variants are important to know in the setting of stroke etiology, perfusion dynamics in stenosis, neurovascular compression of cranial nerves, and WADA testing. Certain variants can be detrimental in the setting of pituitary surgery and provide guidance on surgical approach prior to neurological surgery.Abstract E-042 Figure 1Disclos...

E-044 Long-term safety and efficacy of pipeline embolization device compared in anterior and posterior circulation aneurysms: a systematic review and meta-analysis
ConclusionThe long-term occlusion rate after PED was higher in AC aneurysms and the cumulative incidence of ischemic complications and aneurysm rupture was significantly higher in PC. The intracranial hemorrhage rate was not different. More extensive studies are required to identify factors predisposing to incomplete occlusion and postprocedural complications.Disclosures E.
