The diagnosis of intracranial artery stenosis in patients with stroke by transcranial Doppler ultrasound: A meta-analysis
CONCLUSION: Doppler ultrasound has good consistency with conventional methods for the diagnosis of intracranial artery stenosis in patients with a history of stroke. Different reference standards may affect sensitivity and specificity; when CTA was used as the reference standard, the consistency of the TCD in the diagnosis of intracranial artery stenosis in stroke patients was relatively good.PMID:37661896 | DOI:10.3233/THC-220844

Bibliometric analysis and visualized study of research on autophagy in ischemic stroke
Conclusion: This bibliometric analysis helps us reveal the current research hotspots in the research field of autophagy in ischemic stroke and guide future research directions. Subsequent trends in this special field are likely to identify and develop novel autophagy-targeted therapy strategies to effectively prevent and treat ischemic stroke.

Effects of Compound Danshen Dripping Pills on Ventricular Remodeling and Cardiac Function after Acute Anterior Wall ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction (CODE-AAMI): Protocol for a Randomized Placebo-Controlled Trial
This study is designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of CDDP in improving ventricular remodeling and cardiac function after AAMI on a larger scale.MethodsThis study is a multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group clinical trial. The total of 268 patients with AAMI after primary percutaneous coronary intervention (pPCI) will be randomly assigned 1:1 to the CDDP group (n=134) and control group (n=134) with a follow-up of 48 weeks. Both groups will be treated with standard therapy of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), with the CDDP group administrating 20 tablets of CDDP ...

Effects and Mechanistic Role of Mulberry Leaves in Treating Diabetes and its Complications
Am J Chin Med. 2023 Aug 30:1-39. doi: 10.1142/S0192415X23500775. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTDiabetes mellitus (DM) has become a surge burden worldwide owing to its high prevalence and range of associated complications such as coronary artery disease, blindness, stroke, and renal failure. Accordingly, the treatment and management of DM have become a research hotspot. Mulberry leaves (Morus alba L.) have been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for a long time, with the first record of its use published in Shennong Bencao Jing (Shennong's Classic of Materia Medica). Mulberry leaves (MLs) are considered highly valuable me...

Acupuncture in the treatment of post-stroke hiccup: A systematic Review and meta-analysis
Conclusions: Our investigation suggests that acupuncture could prove effective in post-stroke hiccup treatment. Nonetheless, due to concerns about the quality and size of the included studies, conducting higher-quality randomized controlled trials to validate their efficacy is imperative.PMID:37644765 | DOI:10.1080/19932820.2023.2251640
