Prevent 2nd Stroke: a pilot study of an online secondary prevention program for stroke survivors.
CONCLUSIONS: The results indicated that online programs are an acceptable way to address these health outcomes. Implications to public health: Further research is needed to assess the effectiveness of these interventions using powered trials.

Stroke communication partner training: a national survey of 122 clinicians on current practice patterns and perceived implementation barriers and facilitators.
CONCLUSION & IMPLICATIONS: A significant evidence-practice gap exists. Research exploring the implementation of stroke CPT in healthcare settings, expanding evidence to support CPT for the range of post-stroke communication disorders, developing freely accessible step-by-step CPT programmes that consider restrictions in current practice and providing explicit instructions of CPT best practice are warranted. A supportive workplace culture and freely accessible formal training opportunities are also needed.

Insights into the nature of female sexuality from the perspective of female stroke survivors.
CONCLUSIONS: The findings of this study underline the importance of addressing sexuality as part of rehabilitation and provide some guidance about what might be important to address. Implications for Rehabilitation Sexuality should be addressed by clinicians as part of person-centred rehabilitation. Understanding "the being" and "the doing" of female sexuality is a pre-requisite for understanding female sexuality post-stroke. Access to rehabilitation for patients with stroke in Australia.
CONCLUSIONS: Access to stroke units and to early and ongoing rehabilitation for patients after stroke can be improved in Australia, both to optimise outcomes and to reduce the burden of care on underresourced community and primary care providers.

We present information on acute stroke care for the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia using data from the Australian Stroke Clinical Registry (AuSCR). The first case of COVID-19 in Australia was recorded in late January 2020 and national restrictions to control the virus commenced in March. CONCLUSIONS: This systematic review has identified a significant evidence-practice gap in all existing national stroke guidelines published in English medium as of October 2020. Cost-effectiveness of mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke: an Australian payer perspective.
CONCLUSIONS: Mechanical thrombectomy is a cost-effective treatment option for AIS, with clinical benefits translating to short and long-term cost benefits. This analysis supports rapid update of stroke care pathways to incorporate this therapy as a treatment option.

Restenosis and risk of stroke after stenting or endarterectomy for symptomatic carotid stenosis in the International Carotid Stenting Study (ICSS): secondary analysis of a randomised trial
This report presents a secondary analysis, and follow-up is complete. Findings Between May, 2001, and October, 2008, 1713 patients were enrolled and randomly allocated treatment (855 were assigned stenting and 858 endarterectomy), of whom 1530 individuals were followed up with ultrasound (737 assigned stenting and 793 endarterectomy) for a median of 4·0 years (IQR 2·3–5·0). Quality of acute stroke care in a regional Victorian hospital, Australia.
CONCLUSION: The timeliness of brain imaging and thrombolysis was comparable in the study hospital to that of the national standard, while other stroke management indicators still require improvement. Continuing efforts for improvement and revisiting possible areas of delay are warranted.
