A clinical decision support tool to screen health records for contraindications to stroke thrombolysis–a pilot study
Conclusions: By screening health records for relevant contraindications, the use of a CDS tool may reduce the time needed to review medical records and reduce the number of missed contraindications for stroke thrombolysis.

Intravenous thrombolytic therapy for ischemic stroke via telemedicine compared with bedside treatment in an experienced stroke unit
Conclusions This study demonstrates that the telestroke system, Virtuall, is as safe and effective in initiating rt-PA treatment as bedside evaluation in an experienced stroke unit, despite a longer intra-hospital time.

Development of a decision analytic model to support decision making and risk communication about thrombolytic treatment
Conclusions: We have produced a DAM that provides an estimation of the likely benefits and risks of thrombolysis for individual patients, which has subsequently been embedded in a computerised decision aid to support better decision-making and informed consent.

Efficacy of telemedicine for thrombolytic therapy in acute ischemic stroke: a meta-analysis
The aim of this study was to assess the benefits of telemedicine in the delivery of thrombolytic therapy for patients with acute ischemic stroke. We performed a meta-analysis using combinations of the following terms: telestroke, telemedicine, tissue plasminogen activator/t-PA, and acute ischemic stroke. The primary outcome was favorable outcome based on the modified Rankin score. Secondary outcomes were incidence of symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage and overall mortality.
